57 Million Deaths and Counting

In honor of International Human Rights Day on December 10, 2015, the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) and the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians & Gynecologists (AAPLOG) invite you to join them in their efforts to end the greatest human rights violation on earth: legalized induced abortion. More than 57 million babies have been violently killed in their mother’s wombs in the U.S. alone since 1973. Abortion has killed 27 times as many people as suicide, violence and war combined.

Michelle Cretella, MD, President ACPeds states, “In addition to the tragic loss of unborn life, induced abortion has a significant negative impact upon the young women who have the abortion, their partners and even their future children.” See the College statement about Induced Abortion here.

Donna Harrison, M.D. Executive Director AAPLOG states, “Abortion increases a woman’s risk of future preterm births in subsequent pregnancies,  as well as her risks of suicide, substance abuse and hospitalizable major depression.  Aborting pregnancies prior to bringing a pregnancy to term also increases a woman’s risk of premenopausal breast cancer.”
